My project

 My project

What did you do and what did you learn during the project?

I learned about different musical genres, and I also shared their music styles and favorite artists from the festival with my friends.

What was your role in the project?

My role in the project was to share fun facts about the festival and a small invitation so they could attend.

What did you like most about the project?

I liked seeing all the successful artists around the world, and it was an interesting topic for me since my two favorite singers performed at Coachella.

What did you learn during the project?

How to work in a group and about the different genres of music..

 The Korean Thanksgiving Day: Chuseok

Is one of the most important festivals in South Korea. It is celebrated in autumn (on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month) and is a time for families to gather, honor their ancestors, and share traditional foods such as songpyeon (rice cakes).

What makes Chuseok truly special is how it blends the spiritual with the familial: there are traditional rituals, visits to the ancestors' graves (seongmyo), as well as cultural activities like folk dances (ganggangsullae) and traditional games.

 A Shift in Perspective

Hello everyone!

Today, I want to tell you something really interesting that happened to me yesterday. I was chatting with my neighbor, María, and you wouldn't believe what she told me. María is a fascinating person; she's a translator and a huge travel enthusiast. She's lived in different countries, and every time we talk, she shares something new about her experiences. She always has stories that inspire me.

The other day, after her most recent trip to Asia, I sat down with her to hear all about what she'd experienced. You wouldn't believe how excited she was while talking about her time in India, especially about the famous Holi festival, the Festival of Colors. I couldn’t stop thinking about how vibrant and full of life that event must be. I asked her, "How was your experience there?"

"It was incredible," she told me. "The people are so warm and open. I was in India, and participating in the Holi festival was one of the best experiences of my life."

My mouth dropped open in awe, and I replied, "You must have enjoyed seeing all those bands!"

"Yes, it's something you can't miss," she said enthusiastically. "The energy of the people is contagious."

Then, I asked her what else had surprised her about the trip, and what she said made me think deeply. "What surprised me the most was the variety of food," she told me. "There are so many different flavors, and each region has something unique. I loved how the food reflects the history and culture of each place."

After hearing all of that, I couldn't help but feel inspired. I've always wanted to travel and explore the world, but beyond that, it made me realize something I hadn't considered deeply before: how experiences, traditions, and cultures can be captured in a single image. It was at that moment that I decided something: "I'm definitely going to take a photography course now."

Why?

I’ve changed a lot since that conversation. Before, I thought photography was just something nice to do, a hobby. But after hearing María talk about how photography allows her to capture and tell the stories of the places she visits, I realized that photography is so much more than that. It's a tool to connect with the world, to understand and preserve unique moments that might otherwise fade away.

It was important because not only did I learn about María's travels and experiences, but it also made me reflect on my own interests and passions. Sometimes we need someone else to give us that push, that inspiration, to follow what we truly love. And now I know that photography will be a great way to capture all those experiences and moments I want to live and share with the world.

Lessons of the Day:

Sometimes, the simplest conversations are the ones that have the biggest impact on us. Other people's stories can give us a new perspective, change the way we see things, and even motivate us to make important decisions. If you ever find yourself doubting something, talk to someone — you might be surprised at what you can learn.

If you have a travel story or experience that inspired you, I'd love to hear it! What motivates you to do what you do? Have you ever had a conversation like mine with María? Drop me a comment!

See you in the next post!

My Future Experience with the Carnival Holiday and Vacations

Carnival will always be one of my favorite festivities. It will be celebrated before Lent and I will love everything it entails: parades, music, dances, and costumes. Although its origins will be linked to religious traditions, it will continue to be a popular celebration that brings together thousands of people in streets and squares.

In my country, Carnival will be an official holiday, which means we will have days off. I will love to take advantage of these days to relax and enjoy the festivities. In the coming years, I will travel to places like Rio de Janeiro and Oruro, where the atmosphere will be amazing and the energy contagious.

Sometimes the Carnival holiday will coincide with my vacation, which will allow me to plan longer trips. Many people, including myself, will take advantage of these days to go sightseeing, relax on the beach, or visit relatives. I am sure that one of my best future memories will be having been in Barranquilla, where I will live an unforgettable carnival experience.

My blog

My name is Ambar, although many call me Amby or Eli, and this year I will turn 15 (which means it sounds much more serious). It's amazing how time goes by so fast, but at the same time, it's full of unique moments.

This year has been one of the most curious of my life. So many things happened: I laughed, I cried, I was thankful, and I also discovered a lot about myself. I lost some friendships that I considered important, but I also learned to value even more the people who stay with me, like my family and friends, who are like my other big family to me.

Reading and listening to music have become my favorite refuges. Sometimes, I get lost between the pages of a good book, especially action or romance ones, and in the lyrics of a song that seems to speak directly to my heart. Although I don't have a favorite sport, gymnastics and basketball have always been part of my life in some way.

This year I have also learned that life is full of changes. Turning 15 is a big step, and while it can be scary to think about all that growing up entails, I'm also excited for what's to come.

2025 is a year that promises a lot, and I'm determined to make the most of every moment. While there were tears and goodbyes, there were also laughs and beautiful memories that I'll always hold dear in my heart. This year, I want to live life to the fullest, laugh more, love more, and continue creating stories that make me happy or sad at the same time, but that means growing up, right?

♡𝐄𝐥𝐢♡
